- At least four people were killed and 127 injured when Israel bombed the Jabal Amel Hospital in Tyre, Lebanon on Monday.
The attack, the latest act of aggression against Lebanon’s healthcare sector, came as Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said Israel must “flatten… and completely destroy” Lebanon’s suburbs.
The World Health Organization said on Tuesday that it had verified almost 190 attacks on healthcare in the country, “which have killed 128 healthcare workers and injured 332 others. The past week alone has seen 11 attacks.”
Tyre is among the worst-hit regions, with two out of three hospitals badly damaged and a third overwhelmed by an influx of injured patients.

After being banned from travelling to the UK over his criticism of Israel, US commentator Cenk Uygur tells Novara Live's @NoJusticeMTG that some of Zionism’s staunchest supporters are smearing Jewish people by pretending they all support genocide.
He said polling suggests a large number of Jewish Americans oppose Israel’s mass killing in Gaza.
“When you say that all Jewish people are in favour of Israel’s genocide – and hence if you criticise Israel’s genocide, you’re against all Jewish people – you’re greatly smearing Jewish people,” Uygur said.

AI progress isn’t slowing down. The bubble doesn’t seem to be popping. And who in power actually cares about the environmental impacts anyway?
All that is to say: AI is here to stay. And what will be its fruits? Greater control of workers or even their brutal repression, some say.
So, is there a positive future for AI at all?
Garrison Lovely is the author of *Obsolete: The AI Industry’s Trillion-Dollar Race to Replace You—and How to Stop It.* And surprisingly, his answer is “yes”. He tells Richard Hames how to get off the path to dystopia.
