Dolphin made landfall in Zhejiang province with winds of around 150 kmph, striking Yuhuan before making a second landfall near Wenzhou. Authorities had earlier issued China’s highest-level red alert.
Around 900,000 people were evacuated in Wenzhou, while another 390,000 were moved to safety in Taizhou. More than 1,000 emergency shelters have been opened.
In Shanghai, heavy rainfall flooded streets and businesses, while nearly 1,000 flights were cancelled. Several major tourist attractions were also shut as authorities urged residents to remain indoors.
The threat continues, with forecasters warning of 250–500 mm of rain in parts of Zhejiang, raising the risk of further flooding and landslides.

The ICMR and FSSAI are also running initiatives to promote healthier eating and better understanding of food labels.
