The sorority’s charter was revoked after a complaint earlier this year about a 2020 violation of hazing prevention, alcohol and controlled substance policies. An individual first filed a complaint against the sorority about the October 2020 violations on March 3 of this year.

Quinn’s efforts come after the death of Macomb-area farmer Tim Sullivan who was struck on May 22, 2019 while driving a tractor. He died the following day. Local farmers paid tribute to Sullivan by parking their tractors along the roadside leading up to Sullivan’s final resting place.

- Ellen Kane was a suffragette and also Jane Coplan’s grandmother. Kane was born in 1898, right before the turn of the century.
During the suffragette movement, Kane and many other women were knocking on doors, handing out information, talking to people, holding events, and writing letters to important people to speak up in support of the 19th amendment.
The 19th amendment was ratified on Aug. 18, 1920 and gave women the right to vote.
