- Description
- This week in Modesto, California Legion Park burned 3 nights in a row. Modesto News .org was there to capture two of the fires on film.
Now, the interesting thing about this is that according witnesses and firefighters at the scene, this is something that happens every year at this park and was completely expected. According to many who live near by and firefighters, every year in June like clock work this park is burned.
Now, fortunately Legion Park is situated in such a way that the risk to structures and injury to the public due to one of these fires is very minimal. The fact that the park is flanked by a river and with no adjacent buildings means that the risk to the public is much lower than many other fires that our town sees. And thanks to the fast responses by the Modesto Fire Departments all 3 fires were out within minutes.
So, what do you think Modesto? Do you have any ideas or thoughts in this matter? Do you know of other areas like thi...
