U.S. President Donald Trump also continues to attack his allies, including the UK, which did not join his war with Iran. On Wednesday, the US leader said he is considering pulling out of NATO as the diplomatic fallout continues.

Ashley Warren, who lived in Jaywick in Essex, left Esther Martin with his dogs as he went to London to film a music video.
Warren left Martin with his dog named Bear and nine other XL Bully dogs, eight of them puppies in February 2024
Chelmsford Crown Court heard that Ms Martin 68, sustained “dozens and dozens” of injuries, including a bite through the tissue of her arm and a “complete fracturing” of the bone.
Warren, 41, was found guilty following an earlier trial of being the owner of a dog named Bear, which caused injury resulting in death while dangerously out of control in a private place.
The fatal attack came just two days after a ban on the breed came into force in England and Wales.

Police were called to the Friar Gate area on Saturday night. Seven people suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, Derbyshire Police said.
Earlier, police said: "We do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public."

Everyone will have four separate bins for different types of rubbish, under the new “Simpler Recycling” rules, which start in April.
Waste collectors will be required to collect food and garden waste, paper and card, glass and plastic, and non-recyclable waste into the different bins.
Some regions already do this, but all households will soon have to do it, meaning changes to existing collection schedules.
The reforms are intended to support the UK’s wider environmental goals by reducing the amount of rubbish.

On Wednesday, 18 February 2026, police were called by a resident on Torkington Road, Wilmslow, who saw a man on their cctv system, stealing a BMW X5
Police spotted the vehicle in the Stoke area and attempted to stop the vehicle but he sped off at up to 100 mph
After a chase he was discovered hiding in the rear garden of a property in Stoke
Kisielius was sentenced to 21 months in prison at Chester Crown Court on Friday March 27, and must pay £187 costs.
He had earlier pleaded guilty to offences including burglary, theft and dangerous driving.

- A fleeing suspect lost control and tumbled from an illegal e-scooter after trying and failing to outrun a police officer on a bicycle.
Two officers were patrolling on electric bikes on the afternoon of 6 May 2025 when they spotted Graham McCarthy riding the scooter along Carlton Road.
McCarthy, who was believed to have links to local drug supply, was holding a roll-up cigarette as he was followed and instructed to pull over.
The unusual pursuit came to an end a short time later when McCarthy – riding in excess of 20mph – lost control near the junction with Lower Parliament street as he attempted to pass a bus.
After tumbling to the ground McCarthy was swiftly detained by the pursuing officer and arrested.
He later pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
McCarthy, aged 43, of Denstone Road, Nottingham, also pleaded guilty to criminal damage after repeat...
