- XL Bully MAULED grandad to DEATH and had to be shot TEN TIMES to leave it’s ‘prey’
- Date posted

- Description
- An 84-year-old grandad and great-grandad was brutally mauled to death in a vicious attack by an XL bully while walking home. John McColl, described lovingly as a 'king and generous' man, tragically lost his life a month after the brutal incident in Warrington last year.
A court heard how the 'family pet' Toretto, which was not registered, had to be shot ten times by responding armed police to bring the incident under control. A court heard how McColl had mistakenly entered the 'irresponsible' owner’s driveway on his way home from the pub.
Neighbours used a brush, a golf club and a spirit level as improvised weapons in an attempt to stave off the attack, but the breed 'guarded' the elderly victim 'as if he were its prey or food' and left him with severe injuries that put him in intensive care in hospital.

The US president also said after the Iran conflict was over, the critical waterway would “just open up naturally”. But while there were thinly veiled jibes at allies that had refused to take part in his offensive against Tehran, more strident criticism was missing from the American leader’s 19-minute address to the nation.
It had been trailed that he would tear into members of Nato, which he has threatened to quit in response to the perceived lack of support, but he did not mention the military alliance.
