- The Federal Reserve announced that it’s holding interest rates steady after Kevin Warsh's first meeting as the new chair.
President Trump reacted to the Fed’s decision to leave interest rates unchanged, and about reports of a potential rate increases later this year.
“It’s alright, whatever” Trump said. “It could happen, it’s hard to believe. It just keeps the country down.”
Wednesday’s meeting was Warsh’s first as Fed Chair. He replaced Jerome Powell after his term came to an end.

- Tropical Storm Arthur has made landfall on the Texas coast just hours after it formed.
Arthur is the first named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season. Previously, it had been designated Potential Tropical Cyclone 1.
According to the National Hurricane Center, the center of Arthur was disorganized but located over parts of Matagorda County on Wednesday afternoon. The official forecast calls for the center of the storm to move directly over Houston overnight.
Tropical storm alerts have been issued for parts of both the Texas and the Louisiana coasts.
Arthur is expected to dump flooding rain along the Southeast Texas coast as it moves past the region.
The Weather Prediction Center has placed parts of the Texas Gulf Coast in a Level 2 out of 4 flood threat through at least Thursday morning.

- We are watching SkyFOX who is hovering over the scene of a massive warehouse fire in the Los Angeles area. Reports from our partners at FOX 11 Los Angeles say that officials have not yet released information on what might have caused the fire. The Los Angeles Fire Department has reportedly issued a shelter-in-place order for parts of the surrounding area.
Wednesday's incident does not appear to be the first time that area caught on fire. The solar panel from the same building had caught on fire on August 14, 2024. It took 80 LAFD firefighters to take down the 2024 fire in a little more than 45 minutes. No one was injured in the Aug. 2024 fire.

- New York City is gearing up for what could be the biggest parade in its history. At least 1 million fans are expected to descend on Lower Manhattan on Thursday morning for a historic ticker-tape parade to celebrate the Knicks' NBA Championship title.
City workers are currently putting the finishing touches on the risers outside City Hall, where the parade will conclude with a special ceremony.
The celebration will make its way through the iconic Canyon of Heroes, following the traditional path of New York's greatest champions.
-Start time: The parade officially kicks off at 10 a.m. Thursday.
-Route: The procession will begin near Battery Park, travel north up the Canyon of Heroes and conclude at City Hall.

The deal reportedly could include a waiver on Iranian oil exports, a framework for a $300 billion reconstruction and economic development package, and a 60-day negotiation period to get a final agreement on Iran's nuclear program.
Speaking at the G7 Summit, President Trump issued a bold warning if Iran were to acquire a nuclear weapon. "And if they do, they suffer unbelievable consequences," Trump said. "Not just a little bit — I won’t even tell you the consequences, but the consequences are the ultimate consequences."
