Northside ISD is now considering a bond proposal that is more than double what they initially planned on. The new bond totals $911 million dollars, up from $400 million. The increase came from the Citizens Bond Committee that wants to see increased security and technology upgrades. The school board will be discussing the bond issue at their meeting next week.
More than a dozen parents who lost their daughters to the Camp Mystic floods last summer have been appointed to serve on a committee of creditors who are owed money by the Camp. The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) announced that releases from the Canyon Reservoir have increased to 150 cubic feet per second (cfs), up from 97 cfs.

A tornado left a path of destruction today on the Northwest Side. It touched down just before 8 this morning near Hausman Road south of UTSA then moved toward The Rim and Fiesta Texas. The damage prompted several business closures, including Santikos Palladium movie theatre and Marshalls. No injuries were reported.
