- China has opened its first robot school in Hangzhou, where machines are being trained to join the workforce across industries including healthcare, security, customer service, entertainment and manufacturing.
The first class includes 30 robots, which undergo physical assessments, specialised courses in subjects like medicine and the arts, and final skills certification before "graduating."
"Our main goal is to empower robots' brains, enabling them to successfully transition into the workforce," said Zhao Han from the robot school.
The initiative marks another major step in China's push to accelerate AI and robotics development.
