- A man was shot and killed by an employee at Carter's Country, a gun and ammo shop in Southwest Houston located at 11886 Wilcrest Dr just off of 59, the southwest freeway & Murphy Rd in the SugarPark Plaza shopping center.
Police say around 3 p.m. on June 21, 2022, the man robbed a clothing store (SuitMart) next door when he was chased off by employees and entered the gun store next door where he went behind the counter and rifled through a cash register. An employee confronted him and fired a single shot. The man later died after he was taken to the hospital after leaving the store and collapsing outside from the gunshot wound.

According to a security officer, it is unknown what caused the glass to fall at this time, but they blocked off the area to prevent any injuries from happening as they investigate why the glass is falling off and correct the problem.

According to the Houston Police Department, an officer-involved shooting occurred in the 700 block of West Mount Houston. Witnesses say the shooting took place at the Ramos Tire Shop in the Hidden Valley Shopping Center. The suspect was taken to an area hospital. The official investigation, however, remains ongoing.
In a press briefing, Executive Assistant Chief Satterwhite with the Houston Police Department said that the suspect was armed with two firearms and has been linked to organized crime. Police had come to remove him from the property as a trespasser. When the officers entered, the suspect lunged for a firearm that was located on a table when officers decided to open fire for their protection.

- According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez: “HCSOTexas units are investigating a major crash at 12399 Jones Rd, involving one of our on-duty deputies and another vehicle. Both our deputy and an occupant in the other vehicle have been transported to the hospital. Details of crash are are unknown, but both have sustained serious injuries.”
Update: The deputy was released from the hospital but the driver has died at the hospital. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez: “based on preliminary info, it appears
the driver of a Nissan Altima, made an
unprotected left turn from a flashing
yellow signal. The deputy was
traveling n/b on Jones when the two
collided. The driver of the Altima is
suspected of being intoxicated”.

According to Houston Police, officers responded to an assault call in the 800 block of Buffalo Park Drive. They found a man with a knife over a victim. The man "advanced on the officers who then discharged their weapons, striking him." Houston Police are investigating.
Update: According to HPD Chief Troy Finner, at 3:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to an assault in progress. The suspect carjacked a construction worker that was watching over the construction site overnight. As the victim was leaving, the suspect ran over the construction worker and ended up crashing into the lobby. The concierge at the front desk at the time took cover in a secondary office and the suspect crashed into the secondary office to try and get him.
