Boris Johnson launched the Conservatives' election manifesto in Telford. Most of the key policies were trailed before, but the major new announcement in Mr Johnson's speech was a pledge to increase the number of nurses in the NHS England workforce by 50,000 by 2024-5 and restore the student nursing grants scrapped in 2017.
Mr Johnson also promised that - with a majority - he would bring his Brexit deal back by Christmas and the UK would leave the EU in January.
Political editor Nick Watt outlines the Conservative Party policies and Emily Maitlis is joined by Conservative peer Lord Lilly and the SNP's Brexit spokesman, Stephen Gethins.

The violence is some of the worst seen during months of unrest in the semi-autonomous Chinese territory.
The protests started over a controversial extradition bill, and have now evolved into broader anti-government demonstrations.
China has warned that "no-one should underestimate [its] will to safeguard its sovereignty and Hong Kong's stability", and its ambassador to the UK said the central government would not sit back and watch if the situation became "uncontrollable".
Hong Kong is a part of China, and the protests are, in part, about the fear that the special freedoms the territory enjoys as a former British colony are being eroded.

Hong Kong's protests started in June 2019 against plans to allow extradition to mainland China.
Critics feared this could undermine judicial independence and endanger dissidents.
Until 1997, Hong Kong was ruled by Britain as a colony but then returned to China. Under the "one country, two systems" arrangement, it has more autonomy than the mainland, and its people more rights.
The bill was withdrawn in September 2019 but demonstrations continue and now demand full democracy and an inquiry into police actions.
