- Three members of the same family took a photo in the same spot on the day they became London firefighters. Back in 1966, Colin Gunn became a firefighter and posed for a photograph outside Southwark Training Centre on the day of his passing out ceremony.
His son, Nick Gunn, joined in 1988 and had his photograph was taken in exactly the same place. Owen Gunn then became the third generation of the family to be a London firefighter and was snapped in the same spot.

- A couple who experienced miscarriage during the UK's coronavirus lockdown have said they want to see "clearer communication" on hospital visiting restrictions during the pandemic.
Catriona Amberton, 32, had been expecting identical twins but her husband James Young, 33, was unable to be with her when a scan revealed one of the babies had died, before they later learned the other twin had also passed away.
The couple later discovered Mr Young could have attended the final scan.
NHS England has since published guidelines on access for partners but the couple have called for clearer communication.

- The Met Police has released bodycam footage of officers being pelted with bottles as they closed down an illegal street party in north London.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Lucy D'Orsi said despite warnings not to hold "unlicensed music events", many were being staged across London meaning hundreds of officers taken away from local boroughs, with many having their leave cancelled or shifts changed.
She said the force had received more than 30 calls from residents on the Woodberry Estate near Finsbury Park on Friday who were scared to leave their homes as about 200-300 "youths were fighting and smashing up property".

- Children in London are currently entitled to Oyster cards allowing free or discounted travel, depending on their age. But Transport for London (TfL) announced free travel for children would temporarily end as part of the government's £1.6bn lockdown bailout conditions.
Josh, 14, chair of Young Advisors Lewisham, uses the passes to get to school, volunteering and the shops. He started an online petition and wrote to Transport Secretary Grant Shapps asking him to reverse the decision.
The Department for Transport said: “We want to assure him that the decision about under-18 travel is a temporary measure to help tackle the spread of Covid-19 and reduce the risk of crowding on our transport network.”

- Winston Barrett is a street cleaner in Hammersmith & Fulham. His neighbours describe him as ‘kind and smiley’ and he is a well-loved member of the community.
For more than six years Winston has been using his earnings to care for his mother in Jamaica but in May 2020 she passed away.
When the community found out about his mother they raised the money for him to attend his mother’s funeral.

- The Coronavirus Self-Employment Income Support Scheme was set up to help the self-employed out of work throughout the pandemic.
But The Institute for Fiscal Studies estimates that around 650,000 self-employed people aren’t getting support due to not having tax records prior to 2019.
This is directly affecting young people new to industries across the UK.
Fredi, Zac and Dom from Enfield have all been impacted by this.
Bectu, The Broadcasting, Entertainment, Communications and Theatre Union, is calling on the government to change the current scheme.

- Dhillon Manku from Kingston upon Thames has raised £21,000 for an incubator to help premature babies at Kingston Hospital.
He was inspired when his mother Sharn told him that he too was born premature and he wanted to say thank you to Kingston Hospital.
The incubator is now being used to isolate premature babies from coronavirus.
