Description: It's hard to describe Ruth Newton. She was a gifted artist, who was classically trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of Art. And although that in and of itself, was quite an accomplishment, she was more then just a painter.

She was much more. Newton was also a magician -- a sorceress who was able to take a child's imagination and bring it to life for all the world to see. Through her carful brush strokes we were made young again. Inhabitants of a world made of unimaginable color, and peopled by beings who defied all the known physical laws.
