- FORECAST | Bertha Passes to the South
- Runtime
- 3:56
- Date posted
- Description
- We are continuing to track Tropical Storm Bertha as it passes just offshore to our south. Today, impacts will be mainly confined to the coastline, closest to Bertha. Tropical storm force winds are likely with Tropical Storm Warnings in place. Surf heights of 8-11 feet are being observed and a High Surf Warning continues for our coastline. There is also a high risk for rip currents with double red flags flying at local beaches. Coastal flooding will be a concern in normal suspect areas around high tide this morning between 5 AM and 8 AM. Scattered rain is possible throughout the day, but the bulk of the heavy tropical rain will stay offshore. Once this pulls away to our west, we return to more of a typical summertime pattern by the end of the week with highs in the mid-90’s and scattered afternoon showers and storms.
