Shumlin's response to Johnson-Kurts included multiple personal comments, including "you're beutiful" and - reversing an earlier comment inviting her to speak from the stage - "Why don't you run along back to Smith?" Johnson-Kurts, 21, was at the Paris climate talks as part of an independent study for Smith College, where she is an undergraduate student.
