So, is the digital currency Bitcoin an innocent option for people looking for an alternative to volatile traditional banks and money - or something more sinister? Bitcoin is a digital currency, but unlike previous online money, it seems to have taken off in a big way. It's been banned by Thailand, with regulators in China considering doing the same. Authorities in the US and Europe are also concerned, saying they could take steps to regulate or even outlaw it.
