- Trombonist Jacob Garchick’s current project, Ye Olde, has lined him up with an avant-garde super group of three guitarists and a drummer that explores captivating improvisations. Composer and arranger Garchick has become a vital part of New York’s jazz scene. Garchick can be found just about anywhere you look. He has contributed arrangements and transcriptions for the Kronos Quartet, worked with minimalist mastermind Terry Riley, collaborated with experimental composer Laurie Anderson, and performs regularly with saxman Lee Konitz and his nonet.

- In Ingrid Jensen’s hands, the trumpet reaches far beyond its expected potential, ranging from soulful to breezy to contemplative. Along with her quartet, this performance features her sister, saxophonist Christine Jensen. After graduating from Berklee in 1989, Jensen went from playing subway stations in New York to the music halls of Japan, South America, the Caribbean, and almost every country in Europe and Scandinavia. Jensen‘s resume of collaborators includes British singer-songwriter Corrine Bailey Rae, with whom she performed on Saturday Night Live, and Maria Schneider, who led Jensen in Gil Evans’ Porgy and Bess at the San Francisco Jazz Festival. Nominated twice for Canada’s Juno award, Jensen won in 1995 for her album Vernal Fields.

Jimmy Greene’s work is an ongoing exploration of experimental jazz, traditional spirituals, contemporary Christian music, standard ballads and more. Greene’s most recent record, Beautiful Life, celebrates his six-year old daughter, Ana Márquez Greene, whose life was taken tragically at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The album and his performance is not only the outpouring of a parent in grief, but a devotion to the sense of how Ana lived. Nominated for two Grammys—Best Jazz Instrumental Album and Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals, for When I Come Home.

- 2010 was the 75th Anniversary of the Green Mountain Horse Association's 3-day, 100-mile race. GMHA is the oldest horse organization of its kind, and it is still the most prominent one in the Northeast. People move to the Woodstock area to ride the hundreds of miles of mountainous trails here. This film celebrates that event, told by the riders themselves. This was Bill Phillips' first foray back into filmmaking after taking a 30-year break to write feature films.

- Inspired by the story of Jackie Robinson, Vermont PBS decided to sit down with David Kuame Mason, a filmmaker who told a similar story featuring a different arena. Soul On Ice: Past,. Present & Future is a feature length documentary about the history and contribution of black athletes in hockey.
The film features hockey personalities such as Don Cherry, the late Herb Carnegie, Kevin Weekes, Anson Carter, Joel Ward, Karl Subban, Malcolm Subban, Trevor Daley and more. The documentary features a young man named Jaden Lindo who is in his draft year for the NHL. Holding On begins with his husband and himself discussing their experiences. World-renowned cellist Joan Jeanrenaud (formerly of Kronos Quartet) then discusses living with multiple sclerosis with her caregiving partner. Finally, painter and UC Berkeley professor Katherine Sherwood and her husband frankly discuss the impact of her stroke on their family. Society empathizes with the disabled one in a relationship, and caregivers have little opportunity to be heard. Holding On seeks to draw out caregiver's perspectives, insights, and realities.
