Over his career, Resnick has elevated about 80 patients who have killed their children and he previously consulted on several high-profile cases: serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer; Ted Kaczynski, known as the Unabomber; and Casey Anthony, who was acquitted in 2011 of murder for her 2-year-old daugther Caylee.
Resnick said he spent three hours interviewing Lindsay Clancy and two hours interviewing her parents in May 2023, about five months after she killed her children.

The Lindsay Clancy murder trial resumes Thursday, Aug. 20 at Plymouth Superior Courthouse for day 17 of testimony, as the defense continues to argue that the 36-year-old Duxbury woman was not criminally responsible when she strangled her three children to death in January 2023.
Thursday's testimony could begin with Dr. Margaret Spinelli, a professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University. Spinelli was listed as a defense witness for Wednesday, Aug. 19, but was not called before court adjourned.

- Thirty years after Tupac Shakur was shot in Las Vegas, a murder trial is finally here.
The trial began Monday, Aug. 10, with jury selection, kicking off what is expected to be a monthlong trial to determine the fate of Duane Keith "Keffe D" Davis, who prosecutors say instructed gang members to shoot Shakur – and provided the gun – on Sept. 7, 1996.
The cultural icon was just 25 and at the height of his career at the time of his death and built his career on his uniquely honest music about the Black male experience and the struggles that came with it. Decades later, Shakur remains one of the most influential figures in hip-hop.

- The murder trial against Lindsay Clancy continued on Aug. 19 with a voir dire of former McLean Hospital employee Emily Thorndike, who the defense wanted to call after she posted a video on TikTok objecting to the prosecution's portrayal of the McLean Hospital's staffing and programming during holidays.
Judge William Sullivan did not allow her to testify in front of the jury because of the gap between Thorndike's employment at McLean and Clancy's admission there. The trial was recessed for the day after the lunch break.

The Lindsay Clancy murder trial resumed Wednesday, Aug. 19, for Day 16 of testimony, as the defense continued its case that the 36-year-old Massachusetts woman is not criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children in January 2023. After the judge denied the motion to call TikTok creator Emily Thorndike to the witness stand, he called a brief recess.
After a brief recess, Judge William Sullivan excused the jury until Thursday morning at 9 a.m. due to what he described as an unexpected circumstance out of the court's control.
Sullivan called a recess without describing further the reason for the unexpected break as soon as the jury returned from the scheduled lunch break.
