- Going to the park is an important activity for all children, like many moment’s that GOSH Charity do everything they can to ensure children in treatment don’t miss. For those that do, the hospital’s aim is to get them back there as soon as possible.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity has commissioned an artist to capture the joy of children playing in the park, within three child-like sculptures at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park playground.
This is just the latest initiative from GOSH Charities, as part of their ongoing work to protect childhood from serious illnesses, providing families with a moment of normality where they can.

In fact, one third of the most experienced volunteers no longer take part in the programme. Progress has been made in increasing volunteers, but with more than 1,300 puppies needing to be placed with dedicated volunteers every year there is still a need for volunteers, particularly in Northern England.
Guide Dogs are working with Chef & Brewer, part of the Greene King pub group, to launch the first ever Guide Dogs ‘Puppy Hour’ to encourage volunteers to take part in the programme, while showing that Guide Dogs is there to support these volunteers as well as those with a vision impairment.
