Digital recordings can produce continuous sound waves with no information lost if the sample rate is sufficiently high. The Nyquist-Shannon theorem states that if the digital sample rate is at least twice the highest frequency of the signal, the output is a perfect copy—not an approximation—of the original analog sound wave. - Naloxone, better known as Narcan, is today's gold standard to treat opioid overdose. But sometimes it comes up short against more potent opioids like fentanyl. So future treatments might take advantage of opioid receptor agonist/antagonist combos, antibodies, or nanoparticles!
