As more journalists are becoming the target of kidnappings and murder, and video and images spread across the world at lightning speed, PBS FRONTLINE/World gathered a small panel of reporters, producers, editors and representatives of media-related nonprofits in New York to share experiences and discuss the challenges of covering conflict zones and repressive regimes. Journalists from organizations like FRONTLINE, The New York Times, Current TV, the International Center for Photography and the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting examine the questions of how to protect reporters, fixers and sources, as well as the urgent need to develop a set of security protocols.
