At approximately 11:00 p.m. on July 6, 2026, Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck near the intersection of 6th Street and South Los Angeles Street.
When officers arrived, they located a Metro bus stopped at the scene. The pedestrian was believed to have become trapped beneath the rear of the bus and was pronounced deceased.
LAPD Central Traffic Division investigators responded to conduct the fatal collision investigation alongside Metro investigators.
