Speaking to Sky News’ Sophy Ridge, Mirvis said: "We have to crack down on hate speech in a far more forceful and emphatic way than we previously have been doing.
"Let's take, for example, cries such as 'From the river to the sea' or 'Globalise the intifada'. What does 'Globalise the intifada' mean? It means what happened in Manchester on Yom Kippur [two people and the assailant were killed in an attack on a synagogue in October]. It means what happened in Bondi beach.
