- The family of a 33-year-old southern California who survived the mass shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort earlier this week is hosting a press conference outside Renown hospital.
In an exclusive on-camera interview earlier this week with News 4-Fox 11, family members said Matthew Sitler was one of 4 men at the bachelor party shot — two died and two are expected to survive, including Sitler.
Sitler's uncle Scott Juceam said the 13-person group stayed at the GSR Sunday night in order to have a shorter drive to the airport Monday. A handful of the groomsmen were standing outside the resort awaiting a rideshare when the gunman opened fire.

The attack in June 2021 resulted in the death of 70-year-old Gary Spohr and left his wife, 68-year-old Wendy Wood, seriously injured. Although Wood survived and made a full recovery, she later died via suicide.
In addition to murder and attempted murder, Serafini was found guilty of first-degree burglary and for another person being present at the time of the crime. Jurors also confirmed several enhancements, including the discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury, lying in wait, and that the attack was willful, deliberate, and premeditated.
