In an exclusive interview with News 4, CEO Brandon Barkhuff said he is 'very sorry' to the roughly 45,000 customers affected, as the company now commits to issuing full refunds totaling $63 million, including interest.
This marks a significant shift from NV Energy’s stance just last week. In filings with state regulators, the company previously argued it should not have to fully reimburse customers. Now, Barkhuff says NV Energy will pay every dollar back.
