- Tropical Storm Ian gets stronger, and will become a hurricane Sunday or Monday. It could eventually become a major hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. Ian will swing west of Jamaica (good news!) but hurricane conditions are possible in parts of the Cayman Islands. After that, hurricane conditions are likely for Western Cuba.
Impacts for Florida are more and more likely, but is is highly uncertain where in Florida this may go.

- The system in the Caribbean will become a tropical storm soon, and then eventually a major hurricane when it enters the Gulf of Mexico.
JAMAICA: Worst weather on the western side (Treasure Beach & West). Conditions go downhill late Sunday. Gusty winds and localized flooding.
CAYMAN ISLANDS: Hurricane conditions arrive Sunday night into Monday. Power outages will be widespread. Freshwater and ocean water flooding. Please be sheltered in place by Sunday afternoon. Hurricane conditions will last all day Monday.
FLORIDA & CUBA: A strengthening hurricane will impact western Cuba on Tuesday. After that, it is more and more likely impacts will be felt in Florida. I'm still one day away from knowing exactly where. From the Panhandle to The Keys, please start some initial hurricane preparations.
