Development will be slow, but heavy rain will be close to Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. - A Caribbean storm is trying to form, bringing life-threatening flooding. Mudslides and rockslides will be a concern for areas that receive heavy rain today. The hardest hit areas have been Trinidad and Tobago, parts of Venezuela, parts of Puerto Rico, Guyana, Grenada, and St. Vincent and The Grenadines. The flood threat continues for Puerto Rico through Barbados as well.
This area could become a tropical depression soon, and then a tropical storm. The models are having a very hard time establishing what will happen. This area will move west, so it needs to be monitored in Jamaica, Haiti, The Dominican Republic, and the Cayman Islands. Down the road, this area could get close to Belize and Honduras.

All indications are that it will slow near Tampa, causing historic flooding along the west coast of Florida.

JAMAICA: Worst weather on the western side (Treasure Beach & West). Conditions go downhill late Sunday. Gusty winds and localized flooding.
CAYMAN ISLANDS: Hurricane conditions arrive Sunday night into Monday. Power outages will be widespread. Freshwater and ocean water flooding. Please be sheltered in place by Sunday afternoon. Hurricane conditions will last all day Monday.
FLORIDA & CUBA: A strengthening hurricane will impact western Cuba on Tuesday. After that, it is more and more likely impacts will be felt in Florida. I'm still one day away from knowing exactly where. From the Panhandle to The Keys, please start some initial hurricane preparations.
