- The remains of a World War II soldier was honored and laid to rest at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery Friday, more than 70 years after he was last seen alive.
His legacy was honored with all the bells and whistles of hero deserves. Army Pvt. Myron E. Williams arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and was met by six soldiers who carried him to his place of honor.
Private Williams and his unit were fighting Germany in 1944, when he was reported Missing in Action at the age of 29. His body went unrecovered and was not reported as a Prisoner of War.

- Investigators with the III Armored Corps are requesting the public’s help finding Specialist Craig Chamberlain, a soldier last seen leaving his home in Killeen on May 15.
The soldier’s wife, Cameron Chamberlain, said she last saw her husband that Monday after they had an argument. His chain of command and his family have been unable to contact him since then.
“I believe, absolutely 100 percent, the depression had played a huge role in it,” Cameron said, “I also believe that he’s in grave danger, if he’s still alive.”

- A Central Texas high school couple, one with autism and the other with Down Syndrome, attended the Midway High School prom together over the weekend, and both say it was a night they’ll never forget.
Philip Auchard, 19, held hands with Madi Potts, 17, as they walked the red carpet to the entrance of prom Saturday night to the cheers of families and peers.
