- The City of Las Vegas proudly honors Mayor Shelley Berkley as a 2025 Title IX Awardee. She was honored for her lifelong commitment to equality, public service, and women's empowerment.
The Las Vegas Aces and Las Vegas Raiders hosted the event at Allegiant Stadium.
From being the first woman elected as student body president at UNLV to representing Nevada's District 1 in Congress for six terms, Mayor Berkley has spent decades breaking barriers. She was recognized alongside Olympic legends like Cheryl Miller, Allyson Felix, Mia Hamm, and Kerri Walsh Jennings.
Though she humbly jokes about being "the least athletic person in the world," her impact off the field has helped pave the way for countless women to succeed. This annual Title IX event honors not only athletes, but women who’ve made power plays in every arena of life.
