Most of the bombs used were produced in America and sold on the condition they would not be used in civilian areas. "These are our weapons, our cluster bombs," states US investigator Prof Lamb. He's investigating claims Israel violated the terms of its agreement with America by using cluster bombs in residential areas. If proved, these allegations could lead to a ban on further weapons sales to Israel. But for the people in Beirut, this is scant consolation. "We have no gas, food or blankets. There's nothing to live on," one woman laments.

In this report we take a rare look inside the security zone, assessing the possible outcomes should Israel pull out of Lebanon before reaching agreement with Syria over the Golan Heights. A premature withdrawal from Lebanon could well induce a frustrated Syria to crank-up the violence of Hezbollah.

Life in Gaza has never been so bad. Israel's crippling blockade has left the population dependent on a tiny trickle of aid. But despite this, many Palestinians support Hamas' refusal to recognise Israel.

Valcambi, a leading Swiss gold refinery, is known for supplying luxury watch and jewellery brands across the world. Despite claims that Valcambi uses ethically-sourced gold, an RTS investigation confirms Valcambi's business links with Kaloti, a Dubai-based gold refinery known for money laundering and terrorism funding. Is Valcambi's gold not as 'clean' as they claim?
Since 2015, the MTM gold refinery in Dubai, owned by Kaloti, has well-known links to unethical gold: "... an audit showed their involvement in money laundering related to drug trafficking in illegal gold purchases," says Marc Ummel of Swissaid. Kaloti's gold is sourced from the poorest African nations, which commonly use child labour and toxic products.
