- A lost Crocodile that was trapped last year during the 2024 floods will hopefully make its escape back into Palm Creek and into the main waterways after being stuck is a secluded area near the Victoria Sugar Mill in Ingham QLD.
Ingham local Anthony Dmitriev has nicknamed the baby (approx 1.2m) crocodile "Steve" after the late Steve Irwin.
The croc is often seen sunbathing in the little water it has, surviving on small fish and other animals.
Anthony is expecting the flooding to continue and hopefully the baby croc will make its escape as the waters rise.
The croc has been alone for the past year.

Sonja said their local pond flooded in Hope Island, Queensland on the 9th of March 2025 and their backyard turned into a place for Mark to set a new Backyard Olympic Record of 25.1 seconds.
The family said the waters were clear of dangerous containments however a shark could be lurking behind the back gate as the flooded pond was open to the sea.
