It is now officially the Dr. Joseph Medicine Crow Center for International and Public Affairs.
Dr. Medicine Crow was a Native American scholar and warrior, who served America during WWII, and won the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
For decades, the building has been named the Von KleinSmid Center or VKC. It was named after former USC President Rufus Von KleinSmid. Although he was known for making USC a more international school, he was also a known racist, Nazi sympathizer, and proponent of forced sterilization for what he saw as inferior races.
Dr. Folt also discusses her challenges in taking over USC amidst a series of scandals and the work she's done to change the culture.
She talks about being the university's first female President & what's next for the school.
