In 2011, he and his wife Ellen started a non-profit called "Kershaw's Challenge." Since then, they've raised $16 million to help various causes.
One of their favorite events every year is a backpack giveaway at the Dream Center in Hollywood.
The Dream Center is a 9 acre campus that houses hundreds of families going through recovery and helps feed thousands.
The Kershaws helped to build a playground there. His fellow Dodger, Justin Turner and his wife Kourtney, sponsor the food bank.
I've been grateful to volunteer there for years along with my friend & FOX News colleague Matt Finn.
On this day, the Kershaw Challenge gave away 3,500 backpacks and organized a carnival-like experience for the neighborhood kids.

For the last 7 years, he's served as the Sacramento Bureau Chief for the Los Angeles Times. Before that, he worked in radio and television.
Myers first joined the Sacramento press corps in 1996.

"Time and time again people close to the former President told him that he had lost and that given everything that was happening…he still wanted to declare victory," he told us.
The President raised more than $150 million for a legal defense fund, but much of that wasn't for the lawyers.
"It paid for the rallies, it paid for family members and friends it paid for those rallies all of that," he said.
"Its pretty clear this was the transition from the Big Lie to the Big Grift," he added.
Aguilar could lead the hearings on Thursday.

The Shoah Foundation is currently helping to collect testimonies of Ukrainians impacted by the war with Russia. Some of those records are being sent to the International Criminal Court for potential war crimes prosecutions.
The Shoah Foundation was founded by Steven Spielberg. The goal is to record the testimonies of survivors of genocide...to try and prevent future attacks.
For Emhoff, this trip was personal. He's a Jew himself and an alum of USC Law School.
