- Mwesigwa Grace, 27, is a street preacher on Jinja Road and he has been doing this job for the last five years.
He says that he decided to become a street preacher because he was called by God to spread his gospel to the people everywhere and at any time. He starts at 7pm and stops at 9pm daily.
He says that KCCA’s ban on street preachers is totally unfair, arguing that spreading the gospel isn’t legal and that if they continue with the ban, they might be cursed by God who he says, wants all people to receive his holy message.
Mr Mwesigye, who is determined to continue spreading the gospel on streets, says that he survives on hand outs from well-wishers and that he is never scared of how to survive because the almighty will always provide for him.
However, his challenges are; abuses from people, scorching sunshine, hooting of the vehicles and at times lack of money to by food and water while preaching.
