In the footage from the March 2024 incident, a suspect can be seen being pulled from a car by Marson and another officer before being handcuffed while lying on the ground. - Kentucky has become the latest state to see a rise in cases of a parasitic infection that causes diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms, according to a July 8 advisory from Norton Healthcare.
Norton physicians have diagnosed 16 cases of cyclosporiasis in adult patients over the last three weeks, none of which have required hospitalization, officials said. Clinical numbers indicate there have been seven positive tests so far during the week of July 6.
"I want to emphasize that this is not a new germ," Norton Children's Infectious Diseases Specialist Dr. Kris Bryant said. "Cases of cyclosporiasis tend to increase every year during the summer. What is new is that some states in the Midwest, including Michigan and Ohio, are reporting hundreds of cases."
