- From Lennie Omlaza: "Locally owned restaurant 211 Clover Lane — aptly located at 211 Clover Lane in St. Matthews — has been around since 1992. It’s one of those spots that has both regulars who’ve noticed every part of its evolution and newcomers who only recently discovered the hidden gem.
"Set in Colony Center, a small commercial complex that’s also home to a salon, bridal boutique, and interior design firm, the restaurant has grown significantly since Lee and Chad Middendorf took over in 2021. I recently chatted with the husband-and-wife team about the current menu, the stunning outdoor space, and upcoming events."

- Description
- Louisville is among a group of 33 Kentucky cities and counties where a 10-cent gas tax reduction will continue through June, Gov. Andy Beshear announced in a June 9 news release.
Beshear first took steps to lower Kentucky gas prices in May amid rising prices resulting from the war in Iran, taking executive actions that reduced the state's gas tax by 10 cents and halted a scheduled increase of the gas tax from 26.4 cents per gallon to 27 cents per gallon. Local officials had to request an extension of the 10-cent gas tax decrease set to expire June 10, which Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg did.

- Remember when a little restaurant known for hot chicken dropped hot chicken from its menu and caused a not-so-little uproar?
It was less than a year ago that Louie's Hot Chicken & Barbecue closed temporarily to rework its concept and reopened as Louie's Soups & Sandwiches.
In response to the Facebook post in August 2025 announcing the shift, comments showed a mix of hot and cold reactions.
Behind the screen, something new was brewing for Louie's, as the shop's original owner Jon Mitchell was deciding what to do next with the business he opened with two friends in 2018 at 4222 Poplar Level Road. He would soon sell Louie's to longtime employee Mark McClain and his two sons, Camron and Mark, the group of new owners told The Courier Journal.
