With all precincts reporting, Greenberg, a lawyer by training who is the former CEO of 21c Museum Hotels and a co-owner of Ohio Valley Wrestling, had received about 52% of the vote compared to Dieruf's 46%, according to returns from the Jefferson County Clerk's Office.

- Indiana State Police Sgt. Carey Huls announced that 5-year-old Cairo Jordan was the child found in a suitcase in Southern Indiana in May 2022, adding that two people have been identified as suspect, during a press conference on Oct. 26, 2022.
Among them are Jordan's mother 37-year-old Dejuane Ludie Anderson, 37, and Dawn Elaine Coleman, 40. Coleman was arrested within the past week in San Francisco, Huls said. She'll be taken to Indiana within the next 30 days, he said.Anderson has not been located, but was last seen in the Los Angeles area.
Both have been charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death and obstruction of justice, Huls said, adding the boy's mother will be charged with murder.

- Michael Carneal was a 14-year-old at the time of a school shooting at Heath High School in Paducah Kentucky in 1997. The shooting left three people dead and five injured.
On Sept. 20, 2022, Carneal told Kentucky Parole Board members on Sept. 20, 2022 that he heard voices telling him to shoot students at the school and that he is still hearing voices today.
During the hearing, he was articulate and expressed sympathy for his victims, but showed no obvious emotions.
Asked if he deserved parole, Carneal said, “I don’t know: Sometimes I think I deserve to be killed.”
