- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons as long as he remains in office, speaking at the JNS International Policy Summit in Jerusalem.
Addressing reports of tensions with US President Donald Trump, Netanyahu said the two leaders do not always see 'eye to eye' but respect each other's sovereignty.
Netanyahu also said Israeli forces will remain in a security zone in southern Lebanon for 'as long as necessary' despite a newly announced ceasefire.
His comments came after Israeli strikes in Lebanon reportedly killed at least 20 people on Saturday, according to Lebanon's state news agency NNA. Hezbollah has said it reserves the right to fight Israeli forces operating inside Lebanon while halting attacks on northern Israel.
