The National Cyber Security Centre has issued advice over what to do to keep yourself safe in the event of a data breach, in addition to what steps to follow if a company you use has experienced an attack.

Over the last few weeks major establishments such as M&S, Harrods and Co-op have faced cyber incidents, with the effects still ongoing.

In the latest report, it was revealed the food supplier of Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Sainsbury's had been hit by a cyber attack just weeks after M&S and Co-op.

Logistics firm Peter Green Chilled said it had been "held to ransom" after hackers who had reportedly infiltrated its systems on Wednesday last week (May 14).
