During an interview with Barbados TODAY, he pointed to government mandates aimed at making Barbados fossil fuel free, along with duty concessions on electric and hybrid vehicles, as key drivers of the shift.
Inniss also noted that concerns about “range anxiety” are less significant locally, as EVs can travel around the island several times without needing to recharge.
