- Date posted

- Description
- We're about to open a new chapter in Alaska public television. The stations in Anchorage, Juneau and Bethel are joining forces on July 1, 2012 to bring you a new unified television service.
We'll be sharing technical and fund-raising functions, and we'll be combining forces to do more local and state programming.
KAKM viewers in Anchorage and Southcentral will keep getting the children's, cultural and public affairs programs they love. Viewers in Southeast Alaska, Bethel and most cable services will see those same shows and schedules.
The new service will reach nearly 250,000 households -- about 85 percent of all Alaskans.
And because Alaska Public Television is a shared project of the Anchorage, Juneau and Bethel stations, we'll have more people working together to produce more local Alaska television, more often, and better.
So whether we're watching KAKM in Anchorage, KTOO in Juneau, KYUK in Bethel or a cable channel ...
