- Date posted
- Description
- During the first week of June 2021, Albany County commissioners held a meeting for public comment on the Rail Tie Wind Project south of Laramie. Over the last couple of years, it's been a controversial subject that’s divided the community and led to hurtful attacks on social media.
As part of our series "I Respectfully Disagree," Wyoming Public Media's Melodie Edwards sat down with folks on each side of the issue for a civil conversation. Kelly Schroeder with Better Wyoming is for the project and Peter Bishop with the Albany County Conservancy is against it. They came together in our conference room and started things off by sharing a meal.

- Lawsuit Raises Questions About Effectiveness Of Coyote Control Measures
- Date posted

- Description
- In Looney Tunes, the coyote chases the roadrunner around with a fork and knife but his efforts always end badly. He runs off a cliff…gets pounded by a tree…takes a bomb to the face… But all the jokes have a side of truth.
The federal government kills thousands of coyotes every year in an attempt to keep them from catching their prey. But as Wyoming Public Radio’s Melodie Edwards found out, not all wildlife biologists agree that killing is effective: https://www.wyomingpublicmedia.org/post/lawsuit-raises-questions-about-effectiveness-coyote-control-measures

- In The Deeply Divided Community Of Gillette, A Diverse Group Shares Food, Tears And Dreams
- Date posted
- Description
- As part of our series, “I Respectfully Disagree,” Wyoming Public Radio’s Melodie Edwards journeyed into the heart of Wyoming’s coal country to the city of Gillette up in the northeast corner. Recently, it’s become an intensely divided community. In the last election, Wyoming went in greater percentage to Donald Trump than any other state, but Campbell County supported Trump more than any other county in Wyoming. In a way, that puts Gillette at the center of America’s internal battle with itself.
