- Chesterfield County residents who neighbor Dominion power lines are not happy after learning they'll be losing huge parts of their backyards to a new transmission line project.
The Carson- Midlothian- North Anna power line project is a proposal to rebuild lines to power substations that are now too old to be reliable. The project will go through many Central Virginians' backyards, from Louisa to Dinwiddie, and to make it happen, hundreds of square feet of trees will have to be cleared. Dominion Energy said the project is necessary to keep up with the Commonwealth's power needs.
