Starting this month, a new sales tax takes effect, and it will likely affect a trip downtown, to the airport, or even to the beach.
Nobody likes paying for parking, but for Rhode Island drivers, it’s often the reality on a trip to the Providence Place mall.
In addition to fees already in place, drivers will also have to pay a 7% sales tax at garages and lots, not just in Providence but all around Rhode Island.
