- Kuwait says it intercepted seven Iranian ballistic missiles over residential areas at dawn Saturday, days after a drone strike hit Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport, killing one Indian national and wounding 63. Surveillance footage released by Kuwait's DGCA documented the fireball and blast wave inside the terminal. Iran's IRGC claims the airport damage was caused by a malfunctioning American Patriot missile, not an Iranian drone. U.S. Central Command called it a deliberate, calculated, and unjustified Iranian attack. Former Qatari PM Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim described the strikes on Kuwait and Bahrain as astonishing and unjustifiable. Iran's FM Araghchi said Tehran does not seek war but will continue defending itself. The airport strike was the first fatal Gulf incident since the April 8 ceasefire.

- Iran says its navy fired warning missiles and drones at two U.S. destroyers in the Gulf of Oman and forced them to change course, a claim Reuters reported but the United States has not confirmed or denied. Meanwhile, Reuters confirmed that a major fire broke out aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford in the Red Sea, injuring nearly 200 sailors and forcing the $13 billion carrier to divert for repairs. CNN later obtained footage showing damage far worse than the Navy's initial description, with one sailor saying he believed the ship could be lost. The fire reportedly burned for roughly 30 hours while crew members fought it manually. The Ford returned from an unusually long deployment under visible strain, and CNN says it could face a prolonged recovery period.
