- Baltimore City police have released camera footage showing the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Maurice Daniels, a carjacking suspect, on Clifton Avenue in Baltimore on Sunday.
According to police, six officers fired nearly 70 rounds at the car where Daniels, of Millersville, was killed. The gun found in the car was later identified as a BB gun designed to look like a handgun.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Daniels lowers his hand and the officer shoots,” said Commissioner Richard Worley.
The footage captures an officer yelling “gun” multiple times after Daniels opened the car door, then closed it. Another officer broke the driver’s window glass before the shooting occurred.
“I can’t tell you what the officers thought, but I have to believe what they thought and what they did was right,” Worley said.
