CHP investigates the scene of a crash Friday on northbound Highway 101, north of Del Norte Boulevard in Oxnard, after a motorist hit and killed a motorcyclist. The motorist was later arrested in Santa Barbara County.
Laura Sharpe, who survived a helicopter crash on Catalina Island in 2008, has turned her tragedy into art. Sharp, who lives in Somis, began doing artwork during her recovery. She will be the subject of a multimedia art exhibit March 19 in Santa Monica.
