- People in most communities in Efate island are seeing the rapid spread of the coconut rhinoceros beetle in their areas and its already destroying most coconut trees.
This particular beetle came to Vanuatu on a ship that came from Papua New Guinea.
The Vanuatu BIOsecurity is trying its very best to destroy this coconut beetle and stopping it to further spread to other islands in the country.

- The Chinese foreign minister had met with the Vanuatu government face to face to sign bilateral agreement between both countries.
The Vanuatu Prime minister Hon. Bob Loughman Weibur said Vanuatu will always stand as a country that is 'Friend to all and enemy to none.'

- At least 78 participants took part in this workshop in Holiday Inn resort.
38 of them are rugby participants and 40 are from the netball association.
The participants come from different islands of Vanuatu and Port Vila.
Both sport decipline acknowledge the Australia government through foreign affairs to fund this Pacific sport program which came through the Australian defence force.

While people are preparing to move out, another stay order had put into place. So Police and Vanuatu mobile force are not carry out the eviction order.

- This year the Vanuatu football federation is selling 40 tickets of FIFA cup 2022.
This is for the first time that FIFA World cup tickets are sold in Vanuatu. There are application forms available for the tickets at the Vanuatu football federation (VFF) office.

The Immigration and passport services had told VBTC News that Vanuatu expect over 3000 passport booklets in early may but there is delay in transpotation of the passports to the country. The office had also said that Vanuatu will expect to recieve 10,000 passport booklets in 2022.
