- Vanuatu farmers successfully export tahitian lime to New Zealand through working relationship with the department of Agriculture, BIOSecurity and local supplier.
Ministry of agriculture describe this as a break through news and encourage farmers to farm or plan more tahitian limes.
Antoine Ravo, director of agriculture said Vanuatu manage to ship containers of Lime already and most of the farmers are from Efate.
Local supplier, Dynamic Supplies is the only company that is certified to export of Tahitian lime to New Zealand.

He said this occurs because of no proper mechanism is in place to protect the industry. That is why most skillfull workers are moving out. He added that we should not blame staffs because most of them in the industry now are junior staffs and government need to take in some skill workers in to the country to train more locals in the tourism sector.
