- The 8 year study conducted by the Vanuatu environmental science society (VESS) every year to clear plastic wastes near seawaters had shown that the number of plastic wastes around the areas in Port Vila had dramatically reduced.
This year 2023 the study shows that only 2% of plastic wastes are discovered in the seawaters around Port Vila compared to 2018 and 2019 which was 25% to 35%.
This is believe to be the outcome of plastic ban that was made by the national government in 2018.

Area Administrator, mr. Jackson Willie had confirm with VBTC News that the Community had already raise 300,000vt to extent the health centre.

- The Chinese navy hospital ship "Peace Ark" marks its 3th time visit in Vanuatu after its first visit in 2014 and on 2018.
On its two recent visits, more than 12 thousand (12,000) people had recieve free medical assistance.
On the welcome ceremony in Port Vila warf, the Prime minister, hon. Ishmael Kalsakau had present and made statement to thank the Chinese Government and the medical team. He also aske people to come foward for medical treatment as the servie is completely free of charge.

- Police traffic unit inspector, mr. Edward Kalura said most of these confiscated vehicles had no road tax, no insurance, no road worthiness documents, no registration plate, problem with lights, dark screen glasses and drivers are not well dress up when providing service to the people.
Some drivers raise concern that road condition in luganville should also be considered.
Mr. Kalura said the issue of road conditions and using public roads had two different laws. Police are working on the road worthiness documents and tax instead of road condition which is under the public works department.
