'Election Abstract' is an animation of over a thousand original photographs and videos that were posted on Cornelia Parker’s Instagram feed (@electionartist2017) as a personal diary of the election trail and its aftermath.
It charts the seemingly forgone conclusion of a significant Conservative win, Theresa May’s turbulent campaign and the growing cult of Corbyn. Over the period captured there were multiple terrorist attacks: Westminster, Manchester, London Bridge, Finsbury Park Mosque and immediately after the election, the Grenfell Tower fire disaster. The never-ending news cycle is intercut with...

- The film 'Left Right & Centre' features newspapers collected during the 2017 General Election campaign period and the eventful months that followed. The newspapers and their headlines chart the polarised opinions of the Left, Right (and Centre).
Filmed in the dark at night and in the light of the following day, the film captures a new perspective of a very familiar space seen from two different points of view; the first a benign dispassionate observer and the second a malign agitator that disrupts and unsettles.

Question Time in the House of Commons is an opportunity for MPs to question government ministers about matters for which they are responsible.
Prime Minister's Question Time, also referred to as PMQs, takes place every Wednesday that the House of Commons is sitting and gives MPs the chance to put questions to the Prime Minister.
In most cases, the session starts with a routine 'open question' from an MP about the Prime Minister's engagements. MPs can then ask supplementary questions on any subject, often one of current political significance.
The Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn asks six questions and the leader of the second largest opposition party asks two.

- Mr Speaker, John Bercow MP, and the Lord Speaker, Lord Foster, invite pupils to take part in our new project Pupil Parliament!
Pupil Parliament is a news report and speech writing resource created with literacy charity A Tale Unfolds. The resource includes videos, lesson plans and interactive whiteboard slides.
The Write Brothers lead pupils through the process of reporting, while raising an important issue with an MP or a member of the House of Lords. Then, pupils become MPs or members of the Lords themselves by writing and recording their own ‘speeches to Parliament’. Filming is simple: you only need one tablet (or any device with a camera) to bring this project to life. Show your class how they can make a difference!
Enter your pupils' films into the politics category of primary school film festival LitFilmFest 2018. There, they could see their video projected onto the big screen. Pupils can even win a YouTube filming day for your school!
